Walid Raad
Walid Raad

The catalogue for MoMA’s comprehensive exhibition by the artist, Walid Raad features Raad’s photography, video, sculpture, and performance from the last twenty-five years. The catalogue was produced in close collaboration with the artist, and makes extensive use of extreme details, revealing a level of complexity not usually found in print reproductions. In keeping with Raad’s career-spanning interest in tension and multivocality, the catalogue typographically represents two distinct “voices”—Raad’s personal voice, set in serif, and the “institutional voice” in a contrasting sans serif typeface.
