Aspen Art Museum
Aspen Art Museum was established at mid-century as a center for ideas and the visual arts. IN-FO.CO’s visual identity honors Aspen’s important contributions to modernism through the consistent use of Unica 77, while also responding to the contemporary architecture of the museum (designed by Shigeru Ban) through it’s use at a large, approachable scale. The system creates space for reflection and experimentation while nodding to the distinct mountain air and snowy landscape of Aspen through generous use of white space.
A secondary mark that can be used like a stamp and eight custom-drawn asterix symbols extend the system into more playful uses while signalling the museum’s commitment to the aesthetics of material and print culture. This sensibility is carried out across the website, which has been designed as a distribution hub for the Museum’s significant writing and publication initiatives.
