KDI
Kounkuey Design Initiative (KDI) is a design and community development non-profit with three locations in Stockholm, Los Angeles, and Nairobi. KDI partners with under-resourced communities to activate unrealized potential in neighborhoods and cities through design, planning, research, and advocacy. IN-FO.CO’s identity for the organization is based upon a series of modular patterns that are varied, but maintain a consistent feel, providing a unique identity for each of KDI’s offices. KDI’s website opens with a text and images slideshow that distills key objectives in an upbeat color palette of vermillion, teal, and chartreuse that draw inspiration from KDI’s global collaborators. Through a pared-down, photo-based layout, the website presents a clarity of mission as well as an expanded showcase of KDI’s design work.
